[value] => Das Europäische Patentamt (EPO) veröffentlichte am Mittwoch, den 7. März seinen Jahresbericht für das Jahr 2017, aus dem hervorgeht, dass Katalonien mit 633 Patentanmeldungen in 2017 die spanische Region mit der größten Anzahl von Anmeldungen war. Mit einem Anteil von 37% ist die katalanische Gemeinschaft die Führerin in Spanien, was auf das starke industrielle Gefüge zurückzuführen ist und das Engagement katalanischer Unternehmen und Forschungszentren für Innovation bestätigt.

Spanien mit insgesamt 1.676 Patentanmeldungen im Jahr 2017, was 1% der Gesamtheit der beim EPO eingereichten Anmeldungen entspricht, liegt im Vergleich zu den anderen Industrieländern weit zurück. Laut Jahresbericht liegen die Vereinigten Staaten an der Spitze (42.300 - 26%), gefolgt von Deutschland (25.490 - 15%), Japan (21.712 - 13%) und Frankreich (10.559 - 6%). Hinterher kommt an fünfter Stelle die Volksrepublik China mit 8.330 und 5% der Anmeldungen. Es ist wichtig zu beachten, dass der asiatische Riese die Patentanmeldungen um 15% erhöht hat, was deren erheblichen Fortschritte in Bezug auf Innovation und Erfindung widerspiegelt.
Zusammenfassend ist festzustellen, dass Spanien, selbst bei Berücksichtigung der guten Nachrichten für Katalonien, bei den Patentanmeldungen vor dem EPO auf Platz 16 liegt (und auf Platz 11, wenn wir nur die EU-Staaten betrachten). Dies ist ein Anstieg von 7,4% gegenüber 2016, aber immer noch weit hinter Ländern wie Belgien, Finnland, Schweden, Holland usw.

[value] => La Oficina Europea de Patentes (EPO) publicó el pasado miércoles 7 de marzo su informe relativo al año 2017, del cual se desprende que Cataluña fue, con 633 solicitudes de patentes, la comunidad autónoma española con mayor número de solicitudes. Con una cuota del 37% sobre el total, la comunidad catalana se desmarca como líder indiscutible en España, lo que es resultado de su fuerte tejido industrial y viene a reforzar la apuesta de las empresas y centros de investigaciones catalanes por la innovación.

España en su conjunto, con un total de 1.676 solicitudes de patentes en 2017, representativas de un 1% del total recibidas por la EPO, queda muy relegada en comparación con las demás economías industriales. Según el informe de la EPO, los Estados Unidos de América estarían en primer lugar (42.300 – 26%), seguidos por Alemania (25.490 – 15%), Japón (21.712 – 13%) y Francia (10.559 – 6%). Por detrás quedaría en quinto lugar la República Popular China con 8.330 y el 5% de las solicitudes. Es relevante remarcar que el gigante asiático ha aumentado las solicitudes de patentes en un 15%, lo que es reflejo de los grandes avances que están realizando en materia de innovación e invención. En resumen, aun teniendo en cuenta las buenas noticias para Cataluña, lo destacable es que España en su conjunto se coloca en 16ª lugar en materia de solicitudes de patentes ante la EPO (y en 11º si solo tenemos en cuenta los estados de la UE), lo cual es un aumento del 7,4% en relación al año 2016, pero sigue estando muy detrás de países como Bélgica, Finlandia, Suecia, Holanda, etc.
